Design for America is an organization here on campus that strives to create social change in our local communities using the human-centered design process. We've been at MSU for four years, since Fall 2014. Some problem spaces we've worked in include education, nutrition, charitable giving, voting, texting and driving, mobility devices, and water safety. To learn more about all these projects and more head over to our projects page here!
This semester, we have four teams working on semester-long projects. We presented at Mid-Semester Expo and went on a weekend bonding retreat at Lily Hill farm.
DFA works on design projects at MSU and in the local community. Interested in sponsoring or suggesting a project? Want to be a community partner and co-create impactful solutions with our designers? We'd love to talk to you! Contact us using the form below.
We take undergraduate through Ph.D students into our studio. DFA interest meetings are held at the beginning of the fall and spring semesters. Our spring semester info meetings are over, but applications are still open (until Jan 14th at midnight!) Learn more on our Apply Now tab.
